Chennai Plastic Sacks Cluster Private Limited – Among the micro and small segment, the small scale units are full-fledged manufacturers who buy raw materials (PP/PE granule), convert them to tapes through extrusion tape line, weave them into fabric in circular or flat looms, laminate / print on the fabric and finally design, cut and stitch them in to sacks / bags of various sizes according to the requirement of the end user. These units manufacture laminated / unlaminated and also branded and non-branded woven sacks / bags which are used in the Cement, Fertilizer, Chemical industries and Rice Mills for packing up to the other segment viz.

The micro units buy plastic woven fabric rolls from the extruder units, do the printing, designing, cutting and stitching operations in their units and convert them into bags of different sizes according to the requirement of the user industry.

Most of the Cluster units in the woven sacks manufacturing segment are constituted as sole proprietorship and only a few of them are constituted as partnership firms or private limited company. Almost all the units have registered themselves with the Department of Industries and Commerce. The units have also registered under the Central and Sales Tax Authorities. The Small Scale Units which are full-fledged manufacturing units have also registered themselves with the Central Excise Authorities.
