Anand Water Meter Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd. (AWM), manufacturer of “Anand Asahi” brand water meters was set up at Cochin, Kerala by Late Shri Chaman Lal Anand (C.L.Anand) an enterprising industrialist from Punjab – in 1963, in collaboration with Osaka Kiko Company Ltd, Japan – the makers of reputed “Asahi” brand water meters in Japan.
